The sun was already high in the sky during the morning commute over one of Cairo’s — if not Africa’s — busiest bridges, and today gave no sign of being any different from any other.
The bridge crossed the Nile in two places, connecting the west and east banks of the river with a small island in its center. Traffic was bumper-to-bumper and had more or less come to a standstill, which, while uncommon, was not terribly unusual; motorists caught in the jam bemoaned their bad luck.
Oh, if only they knew how bad their luck was about to get.
Perhaps, if some of them had opened their phones to social media while stuck in traffic, they might have received a bit of warning about the threat lurking just beyond their horizon — not that it would’ve done much good to save them, as the bridge beneath them was already beginning to tremble.
Mere moments later, the behemoth rose over the horizon. From a distance, one might be forgiven for thinking that the Sphinx of Giza had come to life — this creature walked with a similar feline gait as he loomed over the city — but this beast was 10 or perhaps even 20 times the size of the famous landmark.
And the cruel grin on his beak made it clear that he did not at all come in peace.
Maple was a lithe gryphon, his body patterned with orange, cream and dark blue. But despite his slender frame, the quadruped shook the ground violently as he took even the smallest steps. That was the power of being hundreds of meters tall, and he had every desire to exert that power on the helpless populace below him.
The bridge, in particular, seemed to have caught the colossal gryphon’s eye, and he began striding toward it, flattening entire blocks along the way as if they were nothing and caring little about what ended up under his paws.
The motorists stuck in traffic on the bridge realized the big gryphon was headed directly for them and reacted with fear and desperation. Unfortunately, there was nowhere for them to go. Cars crashed into each other, piling up as drivers attempted to flee the behemoth with no regard for others. The bridge was nearly a mile long, so getting out of the vehicles and running wouldn’t allow them to escape before the giant arrived. They were well and truly stuck.
And as Maple reached the bridge and surveyed the carnage caused by his mere presence, he simply threw back his head and laughed. Between his legs, the trapped motorists could see his sheath beginning to swell, and the gryphon’s thick, knotted cock soon emerged, throbbing with need.
A potent wall of feline musk soon reached the drivers’ nostrils, filtering through their windscreens and causing them to react with dread and disgust. Not only was it horrifying to smell the large beast’s arousal, but they also knew that it was their own misfortune that was fueling it.
“So, little ones,” Maple boomed, gently placing one paw on the bridge. “Let’s see if your puny bridge can handle me.”
The gryphon gingerly walked along the narrow bridge, placing one colossal paw in front of the other until all four were on the structure. The helpless motorists held their breath, hoping that the only thing separating them from the raging Nile below would remain intact. It audibly creaked, but it appeared to be holding up.
Then Maple sat down, lowering his body so that it smothered everything below him. Cars, buses and pedestrians all disappeared underneath the huge gryphon, including more than a few who found themselves compressed by the beast’s weighty shaft and nuts.
The bridge itself never stood a chance, crumbling instantly under the extreme force the gryphon was applying to it. Everything on this section of the bridge, including Maple himself, plunged into the Nile. The “lucky” ones were carried off by the current to meet some uncertain fate. But those directly underneath Maple stayed there, as the Nile was nought but a puddle to the enormous gryphon, and he eagerly ground his half-submerged balls and cock along the riverbed, providing an utterly humiliating end to the people and vehicles underneath him.
Evacuation efforts had begun on the other portion of the bridge, spanning the Nile from the other side of the island. But they weren’t anywhere near fast enough, as the people trapped on that part of the structure looked with fear as Maple rose from the debris of the other half and began walking toward them, precum leaking from his twitching tip and mixing with the Nile River. They could only pray that they wouldn’t meet such an undignified end.
Maple looked at them with a cruel smirk. He had other ideas.
